We are the interdisciplinary home for digital health, committed to improving digital health education, research, collaboration and innovation. Technology is impacting society at a rapid pace and it is important that we are able to harness benefits for health and social care. There is an active digital health community with increasing involvement of patients, professionals and organisations.
The Faculty was set up in 2016 to provide an interdisciplinary home for this growing activity and:
- an academic base for research activities
- professional standards
- a platform to incorporate digital health within undergraduate and postgraduate curricula
- accreditation for individuals and institutional courses
- improve digital health literacy
- encourage innovation and showcase clinical entrepreneurialism
- translate evidence based research into practice
- a platform for consultation and advocacy in policymaking, education and public interest relating to digital health
